Where it started
Taino Aquatics grew out of a genuine love for the hobby. What started as a personal collection quickly became something bigger — a deep dive into the world of rare plecos, dwarf cichlids, and exotic freshwater species that most local fish stores simply don't carry. Every fish we keep is hand-selected, properly quarantined, and cared for the way we'd want our own fish cared for.
We're not a big box store. We're enthusiasts who happen to have fish available — and we want every fish to go to a home where it'll thrive. That means we're happy to talk care requirements, tank setup, and compatibility before you commit.
How we do things
A few things that matter to us — and should matter to you when buying fish.
Quality over quantity
We keep a curated selection of species we know well and can speak to honestly. No mystery fish, no overcrowded tanks.
Proper quarantine
Every fish is quarantined before it's available. We don't rush the process — healthy fish are the only fish we sell.
Honest advice
If a fish isn't right for your setup, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose a sale than have a fish end up in the wrong tank.
Local pickup & live shipping
We offer local pickup so you can see the fish before you take it home — and we also ship live fish directly to your door. Contact us to arrange shipping details.
